After a three hour hike, a glove incident with Germans, and a frog pool, and bad knees, we made it to Wengen (up right). We had our first down pour just as we arrived, so we quickly squared away accomodations at a quaint hotel where the owner's mom gave us a room, again we didn't have to give her any information about us or a Visa to secure the room...they were all so friendly and trusting. We had a bad pizza dinner in a gongonzola-smelly resturant and then we crashed hard.
Ian's knees were bad and I could now feel mine, must be a LaBadie gene thing, but only going down hill. So, we decided to take a train down the gorge to Lauterbrunnen, where they have the most amazing water falls (below left and right).
